Salman Rushdie

"A poet's work is to name the unnamable, to point at frauds, to take sides, start arguments, shape the world and to stop it from going to sleep."

Salman Rushdie

Choice of a Son

There is a father
With his corrupt value-set.

He is mean,
Ignorant all the time and self-centric.

He imposes discipline at home.
You are his son.

You have choice.

You obey him
And become a good son.

You revolt against
And become a good human.
